REACH is a new European Community law on chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006).
This new law, which entered into force on June 1, 2007, regulates the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances. Every market player of the chemical industry is affected by REACH: manufacturers (of chemicals, preparations, or products), importers, merchants, formula designers, applicators, and users. All substances must be pre-registered before December 1, 2008. REACH places responsibility for product safety not only with authorities but with every member of the supply chain. REACH is intended to bring a high degree of human safety to every stage of production and use of materials and products.
O.K. Company, S.A. as a polyolefin foam manufacturer and chemical products user, is already in contact with both our suppliers and customers to check the pre-registration situation of our raw materials with ECHA (European Chemicals Agency) and the final use of our manufactured products, as indicated in the law.
